About Site CreationInitial Design(Your Part) There are 2 important parts of a website: 1) Who are you trying to reach and why? What do they want? 2) What do you want from it? What energy are you representing in the global digital realm? Usually someone comes to me with an idea in mind and what I tell them to do is this: 1) Prepare your content: With the above questions in mind, figure out what text/pictures you want on your site. Begin to type it up, take pictures and gather materials. Start to think of how you want your site divided up into sections using a menu for the user to navigate. Remember to put yourself in your visitors shoes. Pretend you are them, what are they looking for? How can you give it to them?
2) Get Ideas for your look: Some people know exactly what they want the site to look like. Or you may browse the web and get ideas from others. This means if you like the colors on one site and then the menu on another we can piece them together with your own flavor . Creation(My Part) After we meet and agree about what we are going to create, I will give you an estimated timeline and begin the creation process. I can keep you updated of the progress along the way. Then we’ll have some fine-tuning conversations to make sure the site is what you want before we ‘go-live’. Once you are satisfied, we launch the site. PricingWebsites are very different in their design, scope and features. I price sites based upon technical difficulty of creation, design components and amount of content. A simple site may only cost $100. I am usually pretty lenient about charging on occasional updates, if they are under 10 minutes it’s probably free. I can give hourly rates or create a contract to complete a project for a fixed rate. I want to make sure we build a lasting relationship and that you are happy.
